I am in the process of writing my new book, the Lighthouses of Beachy Head, which gives a much more detailed account of the history and events of both lighthouses from the beginning of time right through to the modern day, with personal experiences and many rare and unseen photos.
Although I will be using images from historical record and some of my own photos I want to make this very much a collaborative effort by the people who visit Beachy Head.
The stripes were saved by the involvement of people who wanted to make a difference and I would appreciate it if people could send me their photos of the re-painting of the Beachy Head Lighthouse.
I will dedicate an entire chapter of the book to what we achieved and I want as many people to be part of this as possible.
I would also appreciate photos of both Belle Tout and Beachy Head from any period in time, including the moving of the Belle Tout in 1999.
All photos will be credited to the photographer and all rights will remain with the copyright holder. I would like this to be very much a collaborative effort just as the campaign has been.
You can upload photos below, send by email to email@example.com or if they are prints, contact me and I can arrange to have them scanned or copied.
Thank you very much for your help and involvement in this project.
